Dr. Loic Deblais | PhD
CSO
Loïc is Hypercell’s Chief Science Officer, dedicated to advancing food safety through innovative diagnostics. With deep expertise in microbiology and molecular technologies, he has spent his career developing cutting-edge tools and transferring them from lab to market to improve efficiency and impact.
At Arbiom Inc., he built and led the company’s molecular sequencing and diagnostic lab from the ground up. Earlier, as a senior scientist at Ohio State University, he authored dozens of peer-reviewed publications, secured multiple patents, and trained the next generation of researchers.
Beyond the lab, Loïc has applied his knowledge globally. He’s worked in some of the most advanced diagnostic facilities in the United States and has built laboratories in rural, resource-limited settings in Africa.
This dual perspective inspired the design of Hypercell’s diagnostic test: both highly sophisticated and remarkably simple to use. He holds a Ph.D. in Food Safety and Microbiology from Ohio State University.
